Flying Fish wanted to increase awareness of its Uber Eats partnership while encouraging consumers to include Flying Fish with their food delivery orders. The campaign aimed to position the brand naturally within the food delivery journey, reaching consumers at moments when purchasing decisions were already being made.

Traditional alcohol advertising often competes for attention in crowded media environments and can struggle to influence consumers at the point of purchase. Flying Fish needed a medium that could connect the brand with consumers in everyday moments while reinforcing the convenience of ordering directly through Uber Eats.

Solution

MotionAds launched the initial campaign across Sandton using our branded delivery bikes, combining fully wrapped top-boxes, branded booster-fins and in-home flyers to create multiple consumer touchpoints throughout the delivery journey.

The high-impact bike branding ensured Flying Fish remained highly visible throughout busy commercial and residential areas, while the booster-fins elevated the campaign above surrounding traffic, increasing visibility from greater distances. Supporting flyers were attached to delivery orders, extending the campaign into consumers' homes with additional product messaging after each delivery.

Following the success of the first campaign, Flying Fish returned a year later with a refreshed creative execution. The renewal expanded to double the initial amount of branded bikes operating across Sandton, Rosebank, Bryanston, Fourways and Pretoria. The second phase introduced MotionAds' premium PVC top-box wraps, delivering a cleaner, more durable finish while maintaining the same highly contextual approach to reaching consumers throughout the delivery ecosystem.

The success of the initial campaign led Flying Fish to return for a second phase the following year, refreshing the creative, expanding into new areas and increasing its presence on the road. This demonstrated the campaign's effectiveness in keeping the brand visible and relevant over time, while proving that moving OOH could continue delivering value beyond a once-off activation.
