As we wrap up another year, one thing is clear: 2025 was a year of momentum, meaning, and measurable impact for MotionAds. From growing our driver-first initiatives to delivering high-impact campaigns for brands across South Africa, this year reminded us why MotionAds exists in the first place: to move messages, move people, and move the industry forward.
Putting Drivers First, Always
At the heart of everything we do are our drivers. In 2025, MotionAds hit our latest milestone of over R22 million in additional income paid out directly to the drivers across our network. This isn’t just a number, it represents real livelihoods supported, families impacted, and opportunities created through purpose-led media.
Every campaign we roll out is designed with the driver in mind: fair earning opportunities, clear communication, and campaigns that respect the vital role they play in our ecosystem. As the gig economy continues to evolve, we remain committed to setting a higher standard for how brands engage with and uplift the people powering their campaigns.

Industry Recognition That Matters
This year, MotionAds was honoured with the Eric Ellerine Award, a milestone that recognises innovation, entrepreneurship, and meaningful contribution to South Africa’s business landscape. For us, this award is validation that purpose-driven models can scale: and that impact and commercial success don’t have to sit on opposite sides of the table.
We also had the privilege of participating in the South Africa Future Trust Summit, joining other leaders and changemakers focused on sustainable economic growth and job creation. Being part of these conversations reinforced our belief that media has a powerful role to play in shaping inclusive economic outcomes.

2025 saw MotionAds deliver multiple national and regional campaigns across sectors including FMCG, financial services, retail, and purpose-led organisations. From branded delivery bikes to hyper-local activations and QR-enabled touchpoints, brands continued to lean into motion-based media as a way to cut through clutter and reach consumers where they live, work, and move.
