At MotionAds, our commitment to the courier community goes far beyond branded bikes and campaign rollouts. We believe in uplifting the very people who keep our platform moving - and this winter, we were proud to assist Uber Eats in an initiative that truly puts couriers first.
As the colder months set in, Uber Eats introduced new high visibility winter jackets for couriers operating on their platform. Designed to provide visibility, warmth and act as an additional wind-breaker layer, these jackets offer comfort and protection during long hours on the road: whether it’s early-morning breakfast runs, or late-night deliveries in unpredictable weather.
MotionAds was honoured to act as a key distribution partner in this rollout. Our nationwide operational hubs became a welcoming collection point for couriers to pop in, pick up their jackets, and connect with the team. For many, it was more than just collecting jackets - it was a chance to feel part of a bigger community that recognises their hard work.
Over the course of the handover, we had the privilege of seeing hundreds of couriers come through our doors, some familiar faces, others new - all expressing genuine appreciation for the initiative. The excitement was contagious, and so were the conversations. Many stayed to chat, share their stories, or even take a few photos proudly showing off their newjackets. These moments reminded us of the bigger picture. Every campaign we run, every bike we brand, is powered by people.
This initiative exemplifies our mission in action - to empower and support couriers across South Africa. It’s part of a broader commitment to building meaningful relationships, creating real opportunities for upliftment and making sure couriers feel seen, valued, and supported every day not just when campaigns are running, but all year-round.
We’re grateful to Uber Eats for trusting us to be the link between their platform and the people who make it happen. We’ll continue showing up for couriers in big ways and small - whether it’s through campaign incentives or just a warm coffee and a chat when they need it most.
